Jonathan Yovel
Jonathan Yovel hails from Jerusalem, Israel, where he has won the Haaretz literary award for a short story - Israel’s most competitive literary prize for short fiction - in 1998 and 2000. Jonathan has published one poetry book, “songs of the homo urbanus”, and a collection of his short stories, Trojan Horse, is forthcoming in 2007; all these works are in Hebrew. Jonathan is just short of 6′0′’ and with his fading jumping ability, his dream of becoming a pro basketball player has already faded.
